Switchboard Manufacture and Process Control


We have a switchboard construction section which is able to fabricate to order, or design and manufacture, high quality industrial switchboards at reasonable cost. This means we are able to fulfill a wide range of needs in process and motor control switchboards, using VF Drives and Soft Starters.

The use of PLC's, computer control and sensing of liquid levels, flow, temperature and pressure, enables us to contruct to order large current supply,distribution switchboards and high volume pump station switchboards.

Pump Controller

       

THE SMS PUMP CONTROLLER IS PRE PROGRAMMED WITH ALL PHONE NUMBERS AND ALARM MESSAGES.

PHONE NUMBER AND ALARMS CAN BE CHANGED AND MAINTAINED VIA A DIRECT CONNECTION TO A LAPTOP COMPUTER OR DIAL UP MODEM TO SITE.

A 2000 RECORD LOG FILE CAN ALSO BE DOWNLOADED, SHOWING ALARMS SENT, MESSAGES RECIEVED AND ANALOG SIGNAL TRENDS.

THE STANDARD CONTROLLER HAS 8 INPUTS THAT CAN BE USED TO SEND 8 INDIVIDUAL ALARMS EG: RUNNING, HIGH TEMP, KEY “ON”, LOW OIL LEVEL ETC.

THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS SHOW A PUMP THAT WAS MODIFIED FOR REMOTE STARTING.THE SMS CONTROLLER WAS INTERGRATED WITH THE EXISTING SYSTEM WHICH CAN STILL BE MANUALLY STARTED.

AN ACTUATOR WAS FITTED TO THE ENGINE GOVERNOR TO CONTROL ENGINE SPEED.

THE PUMP WILL START AT THE PRESET IDLE SPEED AND AFTER AN ADJUSTABLE TIME PERIOD, WILL RAMP UP TO THE PRESET RUNNING SPEED AND ALSO ACTIVATE ANY UNDER PRESSURE PROTECTION THAT IS INSTALLED.
